Japanese Amb. Visits SCZone to Review Possible Investment Opportunities
The Ambassador of Japan to Egypt Oka Hiroshi affirmed the keenness of more companies and institutions in his country to move forward in benefiting from the investment opportunities available in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
This came during his visit to the zone with a delegation of the Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Committee of the Japanese House of Representatives, headed by Minoru Kihara.
The economic zone said in a statement Sunday that the Japanese ambassador stressed the depth of the Egyptian-Japanese relations and the remarkable development they have witnessed recently, especially in light of the successful promotional tour of the delegation of the zone to the Japanese capital Tokyo last April.
It added, the tour opened the door for the Japanese financial and business community to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in the economic zone in vital sectors such as the automotive sector and feeding industries, as well as the green fuel, and catering, referring to the growing global demand for clean energy sources.
The zone added in the statement that the visit came within the framework of the Japanese delegation’s desire to enhance cooperation in the fields of transport, tourism and infrastructure development, and to get acquainted closely with the zone’s efforts in order to maximize the benefit from its strategic location, which is the artery of international trade.
