Minister of Solidarity: Number of Beneficiaries of "Takaful & Karama" Rose to 4.6 Million Families

She added that the Ministry has witnessed, in recent years, a number of initiatives that targeted a shift in policies, where the focus was on strengthening social protection programs as a result of successive economic crises, so the number of families benefiting from Takaful & Karama increased by a total of one million families, bringing the number of beneficiaries to 4.6. million families, including about 20 million citizens.

The minister pointed out the implementation of the presidential directives to increase the value of monthly cash support by 25% of the original value of the support, bringing the average support to approximately 600 pounds per month, in addition to providing financial and in-kind assistance to approximately 326 thousand orphans with a total of 1, 4 billion pounds annually, in cooperation with civil society organizations specialized in caring for orphans, whether they have no parents or either.
