Ahmed Ali, the Director General of the Foreign Offices of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the direct flight from Belgrade to Cairo, which was organized by the Egyptian Embassy in Belgrade in cooperation with Air Serbia.

The ceremony was attended by Bassel Salah, the Egyptian ambassador to Belgrade, and a number of tourism companies and ambassadors accredited to Serbia.

The first flights of this line are scheduled to start on May 15, after a hiatus of more than 3 years, at a rate of three flights per week, which will contribute to strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries and spur more incoming tourism to Egypt from Serbia.

Ali also took part in the other celebration that was held at the Egyptian Embassy in Belgrade to launch a group of trips organized by a senior Serbian tour operator to Marsa Matrouh, starting next June and continuing until next September.

He also met Uros Kandić, the Serbian Deputy Minister of Tourism and Economy, where they discussed aspects of joint cooperation and a proposal to exchange a number of visits at the governmental level and the private sector to benefit the two countries from the start of the flight line that was launched from Belgrade to Cairo.
