Egypt's Non-oil Exports Grow by 12% to $30.4 Billion

Exports of manufactured goods for engineering and electronics amounted to about $3.077 billion, and agricultural crops amounted to $2.601 billion.

The volume of Egyptian non-oil exports grew to $30.4 billion, a growth rate of 12% during the first ten months of 2022, compared to about an earlier $27 billion, according to a report issued by the General Authority for Export and Import Control.


The Authority added that the most prominent of these export sectors, during the period from January to October 2022 were the exports of chemical industries and fertilizers at $7.118 billion, the building materials industry at $5.751 billion, and foodstuffs at $3.463 billion.


Exports of manufactured goods for engineering and electronics amounted to about $3.077 billion, and agricultural crops amounted to $2.601 billion.


PM Mostafa Madbouly had said, in a previous statement, that “Egypt’s exports rose during 2022 to $53.8 billion, compared to $45 billion in the previous year, an increase of nearly 20%, despite all the challenges.
