Cambodia will sign an agreement on air connectivity with Morocco and a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoU) with Egypt during next week’s official visit by Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The foreign ministry said in a March 23 press statement that Sokhonn will lead a delegation on an official visit to Morocco from March 27 to 28, and then travel on to Egypt from March 29 to 30 March.

In Morocco, Sokhonn will conduct bilateral meetings with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita. They will discuss the strengthening of Cambodia-Morocco relations and cooperation in various areas such as economy, trade, tourism, agriculture and education, as well as regional and international issues of common interest and concern.

“After the meeting, the two ministers will preside over the signing of several cooperation agreements, including the Agreement on Air Services. The agreement aims to promote tourism, business and trade links between the two nations,” the statement said.

In Egypt, Sokhonn will hold official talks with his counterpart Sameh Shoukry and review bilateral cooperation and discuss key regional and international developments.

“During the visit, both sides expect to sign a number of agreements and MoUs spanning cultural, academic and consular cooperation,” added the ministry.
