President El-Sisi reviews plans to develop Egypt’s textile industries sector

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing, Utilities&Urban Communities Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Public Business Sector Eng. Mahmoud Esmat, President’s Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed and President's Advisor for Financial Affairs Major General Mohamed Amin.


The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the meeting followed-up on plans being implemented to modernize and develop Egypt's textile industries sector, including various stages of production, from the cultivation and trade of cotton to the development of processors and textile plants, in addition to reviewing coordination between the ministries of housing and the business sector to optimize the use of land belonging to some public sector companies across the country, serving public interest.


President El-Sisi stressed the importance of optimizing the utilization of state-owned assets, in keeping with recent global developments in the areas of industry, marketing and management, by integrating with the private sector based on the highest degrees of governance and good economic management, with the aim of maximising the value of national resources and contributing positively to efforts to advance comprehensive development.
