Egypt’s auto sales dropped 74.6% year on year (YoY) in January to 5,380 vehicles, compared to 21,180 vehicles, the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC) stated in a report on March 2nd.
Sales of passenger cars fell 79.7% YoY to 3,430 units from 16,890 units, while sales of trucks went down 61.5% to 1,140 units last January from 2,960 units in January 2022.
Meanwhile, sales of buses fell 39% YoY to 810 buses from 1,330 buses.
