Oriental Weavers Group announces its strategic partnership with Hayah International Academy

The 9th Art Competition featured 800 artworks produced by 40 schools’ most creative and talented students.

For the 7th year in a row, Oriental Weavers Group (OW), the world’s largest carpets, rugs, and related raw materials producer, is partnering with Hayah International Academy in its annual art competition.  This year’s round that marked the 9th edition of the competition was held at the Grand Egyptian Museum, under the theme of "A Celebration of Egyptian Heritage: Interpretation through Art.


The 9th Art Competition featured 800 artworks produced by 40 schools’ most creative and talented students. It also witnessed an inclusive approach, where young talents with special needs were given the opportunity to join the competition for the first time. This comes in alignment with the Oriental Weavers Group’s CSR and Sustainability strategy; empowering youth and achieving social inclusion. Oriental Weavers is keen to help the young talents explore and achieve their dreams and goals. Moreover, the competition provides the opportunity for the students to hone their talents and skills.


The Egyptian Heritage artworks of 40 winners, were turned into small hanging carpets to engrave their achievements. These artworks will be showcased in an exhibition at the Grand Egyptian Museum from the 17th to the 24th of February.
