Menoufia University selected among best Egyptian universities
Menoufia University was selected among the best Egyptian universities, according to the Spanish Webometrics University Ranking.
The classification includes 14 Egyptian universities, announced President of Menoufia University, Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased.
Al-Kasid explained that the Webometrics classification is a system for evaluating international universities, as it covers more than 20,000 universities, pointing out that this classification is issued in Spain by the Higher Council for Scientific Research.
He added that it is a semi-annual evaluation issued in January and July of each year, and it depends on measuring the performance of universities through its websites according to several criteria: "size - reference to research - public impact".
The evaluation aims to improve the presence of institutions of higher education and scientific research on the Internet and to encourage the publication of peer-reviewed scientific articles in an open access manner.
