Egypt’s president expresses aspiration to boost cooperation with Greece in energy, economy

 President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed Egypt’s aspiration to boost constructive cooperation with Greece, especially in economy and energy, as he made a phone call on Wednesday with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.


Sisi also voiced the country’s keenness to cooperate with Greece at the security and military levels.


The president hailed Egypt’s appreciation of the progress in cooperation relations with Greece, especially in light of the common stances and the consistency of interests between the two countries at the regional level.


Mitsotakis voiced his keenness to exchange opinions with President Sisi on regional issues of mutual concern.


The Greek premier affirmed the importance of coordination, especially in the energy fields and Middle East issues to achieve the interests of both countries at the bilateral level, as well as the trilateral level with Cyprus.
