Euronext wheat futures firmed slightly on Tuesday as traders weighed the latest sale of French wheat to Egypt against continued competition from Black Sea suppliers.

Benchmark December milling wheat on Paris-based Euronext was up 0.25 euros, or 0.1%, at 179.50 euros ($199.39) a tonne at 1710 GMT.

It had earlier risen to 180.75 euros after initial bids in a tender by Egyptian commodities buyer GASC showed French wheat was the cheapest before shipping costs.
