Angola, Egypt seek new ways of exchange cooperation

Luanda - Angolan and Egyptian authorities will work this year on the implementation of a formal agreement to boost bilateral cooperation.

The assurance came from the northern country's ambassador to Angola, Ahmed Sabry.

The diplomat was speaking to the press at the end of an audience the Speaker of National Assembly, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, granted o him Tuesday in Luanda.

Considering important, in this strategy, to ensure mutual and regular visits between the MPs of the two countries, the diplomat stressed that Egypt is quite interested in strengthening the relations.

According to him, Egypt has a new Parliament and a new democracy, stressing that the country is eager to cooperate with the Angolan Parliament.

He said that the bilateral relationship is old and historic but want to intensify the exchange of parliamentary delegations, having invited the Speaker of the Angolan Parliament to pay an official visit to his country this year.

Meanwhile, the ambassador said that he expressed the interest to sign a bilateral agreement to ensure such official visits between parliaments of both countries.

He said that the invitation is meant to facilitate the exchange of views, cooperation and the search for a new field of exchanges between the two Parliaments.
