British minister tour new Suez Canal project

British minister Tobias Ellwood at the head of a business delegation sailed on the new Suez Canal on Wednesday, becoming the first foreign official to tour the new project.As British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Tobais expressed his hope that some officials of the UK companies accompanying him “will be able to do business here and bring their great British expertise to make this project a success.”

Ellwood was greeted at the canal by the Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mameesh, a press communiqué by the British embassy in Cairo said.
