Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi said that the National Water Research Center (NWRC) is currently preparing a scientific study for reducing the evaporation rates in Lake Nasser after it reached 10 billion cubic meters of water.

Moghazi pointed out that the study relies on using the solar cells in absorbing light and forming shadow by which we can produce electricity and reduce evaporation rates in the High Dam Lake for facing the water deficit in Egypt and Sudan.

This came on the sidelines of the minister' tour of Toshka project. He noted that the areas that would be reclaimed in the one million feddans project comes out of Egypt' share of Nile water.
