Italian ambassador discusses economic cooperation with Egypt

Italian Ambassador to Egypt Maurizio Massari met with Egyptian Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman and a number of officials from the ministry and General Authority for Investment and Free Zones to discuss cooperation between Egypt and Italy in the fields of energy, agricultural fertilizers and preserved food, Al-Ahram reported Sunday.

Massari invited Salman to visit Italy with a delegation to promote European investment through Italy because Italy now heads the European Union, Mubasher news website reported Sunday.

Massari said Italy is interested in establishing investment projects in Egypt and increasing cooperation between the two countries. Salman said that it is important to work on attracting major Italian investments to Egypt with added value to encourage investment, Mubasher added.
