Arab Information Ministers to meet Nov. 24

Arab Information Ministers are scheduled to meet on November 24 to discuss the situation of Arab media in light of changes in the Arab region and the Arab media freedom in the wake of the Arab spring.

Egyptian Information Minister Osama Haikal told the press on Sunday, that the Arab information ministers would discuss how to push and develop the Arab media forward under the current media "invasion that comes from different cultures." Haikal, meanwhile, said Information Minister of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja would discuss during his visit to Cairo - which begins next Sunday - ways to develop media cooperation protocol between his country and Egypt in various areas.
