World Trade Fair for Used Technology returns to April
After the successful second edition of the World Trade Fair for Used Technology in March of 2012, USETEC 2013 will open its doors to the world once again at the more traditional time of year in late April. USETEC 2013 will take place from Monday, 22 to Wednesday, 24 April 2013 in the northern halls of Koelnmesse, Hall 6 and the adjacent outdoor area.
USETEC 2013 will therefore dovetail neatly with the dates of the trade fair "double bill" of the Hannover Fair and bauma/Munich allowing visitor groups from foreign countries to take in several events efficiently in one trade fair trip. "For years, we have observed that buyers from far-off countries are frequently interested in a number of sectors featured at USETEC. The dates in 2013 allow them to combine a visit to USETEC easily with an expedition to an additional trade fair. After USETEC, buyers of used technology like to visit the warehouses of various suppliers to seek out the right machine and conclude deals," says Florian Hess, Managing Director of Hess GmbH, Weingarten/Baden.
The USETEC outdoor area is home to a wide range of mobile equipment in the areas of lifting appliances and conveyors, construction machinery, agricultural machines and commercial vehicles. The event's later date next year ensures the best possible presentation conditions. The cathedral city of Cologne thus offers a wide selection of outdoor and indoor venues for concluding successful business transactions in a relaxed atmosphere.
USETEC's technical sponsor, the Trade Association for Machine Tools + Tooling (FDM), welcomes the new date of the event: "Our members were always happy with the April date. It is very important that we have good conditions both in the hall and the outdoor area - after all it is the variety of used technology on show that makes USETEC special," notes Kurt Radermacher, Managing Director of the FDM.
USETEC features used machinery and equipment for every sector and branch of industry – from woodworking and metalworking machine tools to plastic and rubber processing machinery, robotics and automation, construction machinery, agricultural technology, commercial vehicles, printing machinery and food processing machines. The USETEC range is completed by the service companies exhibiting, which provide everything from retrofitting to freight forwarding, and naturally the area of tools and moulds as even used machine tools require good tools for manufacturing.
