New Egypt Business Directory goes online
The Directory is managed by Marketing-Boerse, a German Company specialized in online directories. Marketing-Boerse.de is the largest German online-directory for marketing-related businesses.
Dr. Torsten Schwarz, founder of Marketing-Boerse said: “Compared to other countries, Egyptians are using internet-tools like Facebook very intensely.”
He explained his decision to start Egypt-Business.com: “The people of Egypt are online but the companies are not yet using the power of online-marketing to promote their businesses.”
In 2010 the total ad spendings of Egyptian companies were at 1.2 billion US-Dollars – however they amounted only 13 Million US-Dollars. “While people spend 10 percent of their media time in the internet, companies spend only 1.1 percent of their media budget online,” says Schwarz.
According to the Google Business report, online ad spendings in Egypt increase by 1450 percent from 2008 thru 2012. This is more than in any other country worldwide.
