The Egyptian government has launched a new housing initiative, "Your Home in Egypt," aimed at providing Egyptians living abroad with exclusive opportunities to purchase property back home. Here are the key facts you need to know about this initiative:

1. A Government-Backed Initiative for Expats

The initiative, introduced by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is designed to help expatriates invest in Egyptian real estate with ease. It is part of a broader strategy to strengthen ties between Egyptians abroad and their homeland.

2. Over 5,000 Housing Units Available in the First Phase

The first phase of the program offers 5,055 residential units across 12 different housing projects in major new cities across Egypt. Some units are ready for immediate move-in, while others will be completed by the end of 2025.

3. Exclusive Discounts and Flexible Payment Plans

Egyptians abroad can benefit from discounts ranging from 3% to 10% off the market price. Additionally, buyers can pay through installment plans of up to 10 years, making homeownership more accessible.

4. Fully Digital Platform for Easy Access

The initiative has launched an official website where expatriates can:

    • View property details, sizes, and finishes

    • Take virtual tours of available units

    • Learn about booking conditions and secure payment options

    • Complete transactions entirely online

5. Properties in Egypt’s Most Sought-After Locations

Homes are available in some of Egypt’s most prestigious and fast-growing cities, including:

    • New Administrative Capital (Capital Residence, New Garden City)

    • New Cairo (Madinaty)

    • New Mansoura (Zahia)

    • New Alamein (Beachfront Towers, The Latin District)

    • Sheikh Zayed City (Bliss Gates)

    • 6th of October City (Saba, Valley Towers)

6. Payment in Foreign Currency Accepted

To facilitate purchases, Egyptians abroad can pay in foreign currencies, a move aimed at making transactions easier and contributing to Egypt’s economy. Payment options include bank transfers, ATM deposits, and credit card payments.

7. Aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030

The initiative is part of Egypt Vision 2030, which promotes urban expansion and real estate investment as key pillars of economic growth. The government aims to attract more investments from expatriates and expand housing opportunities in the coming years.

8. More Housing Projects Coming Soon

This first phase is just the beginning. The government has announced plans to expand the initiative with more housing options in the future, ensuring that Egyptians abroad continue to have opportunities to own property in their home country.

With flexible payment options, exclusive discounts, and properties in Egypt’s top cities, the "Your Home in Egypt" initiative provides a great opportunity for expatriates to invest in real estate and stay connected to their homeland.
