Renewable power sector in Egypt needs support

Egypt is the heaven of renewable energy with solar and wind power capacities but the sector needs more dedication from public and private officials.

Until end of 2018 Egypt installed 1.2GW wind energy and 661 MW solar energy; this is way below the capacity of renewable energy heaven, Egypt, who can be adding at least 2GW annualy of solar and wind energy.

Harry Boyd-Carpenter, head of energy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa stated that the problem is in the dedication and capacity of decision and execution given to public and private sector employees dealing with such projects, reported recharge news.

These employees have the mandate to work on one project at a time which is holding Egypt back from being a world class top player in renewable energy sector.
