Shaker added that this project is of high importance to Marriott international due to its positive effects on the environment by limiting harmful carbon emissions. CEO of the holding company Mounir Ghabbour was quick to approve the project.

The General Manager of JW Marriott and Renaissance Mirage City Cairo hotels Magdy Naguib stated the importance of using LED power saving technology that proved efficient by saving 20% of the hotel's electricity consumption.
The technology doesn't just lower the electricity load but also the thermal load as opposed to old lighting systems, LED lamps have no thermal loads.
