RiseUp Summit to pamper Egypt's entrepreneurs

A fusion of Injaz Egypt, Flat6Labs, Cairo Angels, Wamda, Endeavor Egypt, MCSBE and many others – could an entrepreneur ask for more?

In Egypt’s first entrepreneurial summit, RiseUp plans to bring members of the ecosystem together to provide opportunities for startups.

The RiseUp Summit 2013 will take place on AUC’s Greek campus in Tahrir on the 24th and 25th of November, showcasing and celebrating Egyptian entrepreneurs, sharing stories of success and connecting the community to resources offered by all ecosystem stakeholders in Egypt and the world at large.

Despite assumptions that this will become another event where a bunch of investors will tell entrepreneurs what they expect of startups, this summit promises to offer much more than that – and the secret lies in the event’s structure.

Throughout the two days, Injaz Egypt will be hosting a trade fair for startups, where entrepreneurs will be able to showcase their projects and gain more exposure. The trade fair will be accompanied by several panel discussions. Speakers are not just high-ranking investors, but also consultants, entrepreneurs, experts and mainly people that have at one point in their life gone through the process, joy and tears of establishing and growing a company.

Additionally, Flat6Labs is offering mini-workshops to attendees, which will be helpful when the latter move on to the pitching event organized by Cairo Angels, where the best startups have a chance to pitch-fight for a chance to meet Egypt’s top Angel investors.

Of course, when talking “entrepreneurship” in the Middle East, it would be a crime to forget Wamda. At the summit, Wamda will help startups perfect their 1-minute elevator pitch, giving them confidence and tips on how to get it straight when the moment has come.

Awards, “entrepreneurial” food, music, Rise-Up-athon and much more treats will be awaiting attendees at the RiseUp Summit 2013. To register, click here.
