Samsung launches Galaxy Note 3 in Egypt

The new Note is wider, slimmer and lighter than previous models and can be connected to a user's watch.

The newest addition to the Note family was revealed in Egypt yesterday, as Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 3 with its attachment - the Galaxy Gear - in City Stars.

The Galaxy Gear is a watch which connects to the Note 3 and allows users to check their messages and receive their notifications via the device on their wrist. The Galaxy Gear also enables users to take photos.


Highlighting that the new Note is a device created by customer feedback, General Manager of Samsung Egypt Duke Park stated: "The undeniable success of the previous models of the Galaxy Note strengthened our conviction that consumers want higher quality features for smart devices to make their lives better."

Samsung modified the S Pen and writing recognition feature. Notes taken by handwriting via the S Pen can now be translated into actual commands - not only in English, but also in Arabic.


Additionally, the new Note's security and privacy protection features have enhanced, allowing users to run and store securoty-sensitive applications and data in a protected folder. It also allows multiple windows to run on one screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 delivers a larger screen for better viewing experience and more powerful multitasking, running on OS Android 4.3. It comes with a wider (5.7inch) full HD Super AMOLED display, a slimmer (8.3mm) and lighter (168g) design, and a more powerful (3,200mAh) battery. Also, equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera with Smart Stabilization and high CRI LED flash, the Galaxy Note 3 enables users to capture pictures even in low light scenes with motion. The device also incorporates the industry’s largest 3GB RAM.


Moreover, the Note 3 introduces My Magazine feature, which provides personalized news, social media and entertainment content experience in a magazine-style layout. It also enables enhanced multitasking capabilities and features that allow users to utilize the larger screen; including: the new Multi Window, the Drag & Drop and the Pen Window.
