Egyptian World Robotics Olympiad: Join the final round

The World Robotics Olympiad is a global robotics competition for students between the ages of 7 – 21, in which people from all over the world participate to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills through a challenging and educational robot competition. In the International finals more than 37 countries are competing with more than 17,000 teams participating in their local finals worldwide.

This year in the Egyptian World Robotics Olympiad Final Round more than 200 students are competing in teams, while 8 of them will be nominated to represent Egypt in the international finals. The organizing committee is scheduling a tour for interested companies, schools, entities and for the public to show them the competition live on the ground so those entities could get involved next year in the finals. The finals will be held at the Smart Village Convention Center on the 1st of October and the tour’s duration is 30mins, from 11am to 4pm.

Your involvement in this process provides an opportunity to discuss and respond to a series of questions about the status of science and engineering education. Within the tour, our organizers will provide a methodology of how your entity could be involved next years.

The opening ceremony is open for public and will take place from 9am to 10am. A parallel conference discussing the future of Robotics Education in Egypt will be held from 10am to 12:30pm. The conference is divided into 5 panels discussing the future of ICT Education in Africa, the future of Robotics in Egypt, new educational robotics trends, Robotics and Tourism and the role of robotics in improving our daily life.
