Ubifrance to promote Egyptian economy in France

An important meeting dealing with the Egyptian economy and the prospects of commercial relations between France and Egypt will take place in Paris Tuesday March 27, at the premises of Ubifrance, the French Agency for International Business Development, in presence of several personalities and managers of French enterprises that are interested by the Egyptian market.

According to Hassan Behnam, Head of Ubifrance regional communication, many interventions will take place.

Among others, Mr Jean Félix-Paganon, Ambassador of France in Egypt, Mr Dominique Mauppin, commercial couselor, Mrs Nevine El Shafei, vice-President of GAFI (General Authority for Investment and Free zones) et Mrs Laurence Daligaux, manager at OSEO, a public French agency that finances French companies wishing to develop on international markets.

This seminar will be followed by individual meetings between, on one side the French commercial counselor in Egypt and the vice-President of GAFI, and on the other, the French multisector firms wishing to gather information on ways and means of doing business with Egypt, the growing and promising sectors for eventual investments, the reliable procedures to find agents and distributors or reach partnerships.

In this framework, it should be recalled that on March 6, 2011 Mr Alain Juppé, French Foreign minister, and on April 20 of the same year, Mr Pierre Lellouche, Fench minister of foreign trade, paid visits to Cairo and announced France's support to the efforts by the new Egyptian authorities aimed at developing the Egyptian economy in the transitional period.

The special event on Egypt that will take place in Paris on Tuesday March 27 will be an opportunity to tackle the "new Egypt" and focus on its market from the political, economic, commercial and financial points of view. In line with this, several domains of activity will be approached, among others Information and communication technology, agrobusiness, renewable energies, engineering services and several others.
