ITIDA’s participation in the Egyptian Pavilion comes this year with 16 Egyptian ICT companies along with the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC).

ITIDA’s CEO, Mr. Yasser El-Kady stated that ITIDA’s participation along with the Egyptian ICT companies at the exhibition of this year comes as one of the positive steps taken by ITIDA to stress on the importance of Egypt’s role on the Map of ICT worldwide.

Egypt attendance at this exhibition is meant also to promote Egypt as one of the prominent outsourcing destinations worldwide in one hand, and comes in the framework of ITIDA’s permanent support to the Egyptian ICT companies to increase their competitiveness, penetrate the international markets and build up trade relationships on the other hand.

CeBIT exhibition is a good opportunity for the companies to showcase their products and promote their solutions for IT services, which allows the companies to augment their exports of products and services.

Moreover, the participation at CeBIT 2012 enables the Egyptian ICT companies to build up and boost ties with both international counterparts and services’ providers. This is through holding direct meetings and speeches to be given during the forum.

Participating at such these international exhibitions is granting the Egyptian ICT companies the opportunity to get acquainted with the industry updates, to meet the potential clients in addition to pursing the promotion and marketing campaigns in a consistent way that guarantees Egyptian presence in international IT forums.

This is ITIDA sixth participation at CeBIT 2012 respectively since 2007. The participation seeks to showcase Egypt’s competitive advantages such as highly qualified calibers, competitive cost, strong government support, as well as distinguished geographical
location. This is in addition to showcasing the success of Egypt’s strategy in the ICT sector and ITIDA’s role in the advancement of the IT industry and other related services.

ITIDA had earlier held a meeting with the participating companies to explain all organizational aspects of the event. The selection of the participating companies is based on the criteria set by ITIDA. Criteria encompass five standards which include the export capacity of the company, the area of specialization and its relationship with the exhibition. They also encompass the compatibility of the company’s business with MCIT strategy, the international quality certificate awarded to the company and the company’s experience in ICT.

ITIDA supports the participation of Egyptian companies by 80% of the total costs covering the lease of the space allocated for each company, the design of the pavilion, the display equipment, advertising, promotional tools and travel costs.

Regarding the promotional tools, ITIDA had printed a booklet in German and English languages to include the data of both ICT companies and Egyptian pavilion. Moreover, ITIDA booked a space for an instructional ad on the Egyptian pavilion in the most read
official magazine of CeBIT. Several pin boards have been booked to promote the slogan “Egypt On” across the exhibition. The strategy of “trust management” occupies the forefront title of the exhibition agenda of this year due to the prominent attention paid to the issues of trust and security, which represents a mutual importance for governments, companies and clients.
