Credit Agricole Egypt financial and investment services in the region, has appointed François Edouard Drion as its new managing director.
Credit Agricole Egypt (CAE), a leading provider of banking, financial and investment services in the region, has appointed François Edouard Drion as its new managing director.

The appointment comes following the retirement of Henri Guillemin, said the company in a statement.

Drion has more than 20 years of banking and financial experience in corporate and retail banking, general inspection and audit, and credit risk assessment in addition to his executive leadership skills, it stated.

Through Drion’s vast experience, Credit Agricole Egypt will continue offering its clients innovative and unique financial solutions and exceptional level of service they are accustomed to, it added.

Drion had earlier served as CEO and senior country officer at Credit Agricole in Serbia, where his in-depth knowledge has enabled him to successfully lead the bank’s operations, plans and practices for four years, said the statement.

Commenting on his new role, Drion said: “I am pleased to join CAE at these historical moments that Egypt is witnessing. In light of the current economic circumstances, we are confident that the banking sector can play a major role in helping the economy recover by responding to the market’s needs.'

'I am looking forward to working closely with CAE’ skilled and dedicated team to continue serving our valued customers and the Egyptian market as a whole,' he added.
