Petroleum Ministry seeks meeting local needs despite crisis
Petroleum and Mineral Wealth Minister Eng. Abdullah Ghorab said providing citizens with oil products in a comfortable way comes at the top of the ministry's priorities.
There are work groups acting to guarantee this obligation. The work groups are keeping an eye on the production companies which are implementing plans to increase production of crude oil and gas.
Ghorab said his ministry is cooperating with the finance ministry to arrange for the urgent needs of citizens of oil subsidized products.
Egypt is importing oil products like diesel oil and butane gas as Egypt is only producing 75 percent of the local consumption of diesel oil and 50 percent of butane gas, he added in press statements.
