Egypt ICT Trust Fund (ICT-TF) is pleased to announce the result of “the provision of supporting E-Learning for Deaf and Blind Students in Egypt” tender, following its appointment to develop

* Enhance the educational curricula for deaf students in primary schools in a format that could be transformable into computer based learning modules.

* Transform the educational curricula for deaf students in primary schools into a web based format modules that could be published on Erada Portal for Disabled (http://erada.kenanaonline.com).

* Deliver a train-of-the trainer program on each curriculum (Maths, science, IT) to teachers, students at the selected schools and NGO trainers

A Special committee was formed varied from education for people with disabilities consultants from the Egyptian Ministry of Education and technical consultants from Egypt ICT Trust Fund to evaluate the proposals submitted in the tenders for the provision of supporting E-Learning for Deaf and Blind Students in Egypt.

After evaluating 12 offers submitted by the leading IT companies specialized in interactive e-learning and other educational services, Egypt ICT Trust Fund (ICT-TF) is pleased to announce that “The Engineering Company for Digital Systems Development – RDI” wins the tenders.

Supporting E-Learning for hearing and visually impaired student in Egypt

The project will contribute to improving the living conditions and social inclusion of the hearing and visually impaired people in Egypt, through using Information Technology (IT) for enhancing the education of students at the age of primary school.

The project aims to develop an e-curricula using MOE curricula. This curricula (namely: mathematics, science and IT) includes different difficulties. Thus, ICTs and multimedia could play a good role in simplifying those lessons and introducing them in an interesting way for those young students.
