US Apache, Coca Cola CO. to pump more investments in Egypt

US Apache oil and gas exploration and production company, and Coca Cola plan to pump investments in Egypt worth about $1.7 bln as of the new year.
US Apache oil and gas exploration and production company, and Coca Cola plan to pump investments in Egypt worth about $1.7 billion as of the new year, announced Osama Saleh, the head of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) on Saturday.

Saleh went on to say that meetings, which he held with representatives of mega US companies during his visit to the US, took up ways to review the investment climate and opportunities in Egypt, especially after the January Revolution.

He said that he also met with Apache officials, adding that they agreed to pump investments in Egypt worth $1.5 billion as of 2012.

Coca Cola will also increase its investments by $200 million as of next year, he added.
