Coca-Cola invests $16.7m for Cappy juice in Egypt

The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Egypt has plans to launch its new 100% made in Egypt juice product, Cappy juice.
The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Egypt has plans to launch its new 100% made in Egypt juice product, Cappy juice, this summer and has invested more than EGP100m ($16.7m) for production.

The company aims to expand its product portfolio in the fruit juice segment. It has invested in new production equipment and created new jobs with a labor capacity of 500 to 550 workers.

The Cappy brand line features fruit juices, fruit-flavored soft drinks and vitamin-enhanced versions with market presence in Central and Eastern Europe. The company has already launched the product in other countries under the name of Minute Maid and Cappy Selectii which is said to contain more than 99% natural juice and no added sugar.

The company has plans to double investments in next three years by enhancing the infrastructure of factories, introducing new products as well as developing human resources. Coca-Cola intends to continue to invest heavily in Egypt.
