Egypt's Dr. Greiche Group invests $10 million in automotive glass plant

Egypt-based Dr. Greiche Group will invest EGP 500 million (around $10 million) in a new automotive glass production complex, the company said.

This shift has reshaped the country's automotive landscape, contributing to a decline in both new and used car prices.

The initiative aims to boost local car production substantially and attract international investment into Egypt’s automotive sector.

Car prices are subject to supply and demand, and in some cars the value of the added increase ranges between LE10,000-30,000.

Ezz-Elsewedy Automotive has launched a $50 million Proton car assembly plant in Egypt, advancing local manufacturing.
