Egypt's First Smart Lighting Factory Set to Begin Production in 2026

The USD 30 million facility will manufacture energy-efficient lighting systems for local and export markets.

Ahmed El Sewedy's Elsewedy Electric has launched a new generator range spanning 9 to 2,750 kVA, expanding its power generation portfolio for Egypt.

The production facility in Badr City currently operates with a local content ratio of 80%, exports approximately 50% of its output to 35+ countries.

To support local manufacturing and boost exports, and reinforce Egypt’s Position as a Regional Hub for Manufacturing and Exports.

The total expected public and private investment for this project amounts to €1.6 billion.
