Egypt earmarks EGP 136.3 bln for electricity, renewable energy projects in FY25/26

This is almost doubling the EGP 72.6 billion planned for FY2024/2025, according to a report released on Monday.

Sales in July alone rose by 36.9 percent, with 15,600 vehicles sold compared to 11,400 in July 2024.

Growth attributed to diversification of tourism sectors and infrastructure development, the Cabinet Media Center stated.

The new cuts bring the total cuts the CBE applied in 2025 to 5.25 percent (525 bps).

Egypt is considering building specialized mining schools, and that is in parallel with expanding in research and studies to serve the industry.
