Egypt's GASC seeking wheat for Feb. 1-15 shipment

Tenders should reach GASC by noon (1000 GMT) on Tuesday.

The amount will be used to purchase 240,000 tons of wheat and 100,000 tons of sugar.

Egypt's state grain buyer GASC said it bought 240,000 tonnes of wheat in an international tender, including 180,000 tonnes of French supplies.

Experts say Egypt has sufficient food reserves to last for many months to come.

Benchmark December milling wheat on Paris-based Euronext was up 0.25 euros, or 0.1%, at 179.50 euros ($199.39) a tonne at 1710 GMT.
