Ancient al-Qasr temple in Bahariya Oasis reveals layers of Egypt’s religious past from Psamtik I to earlier dynasties

Archaeologists working in Egypt’s Bahariya Oasis have uncovered new architectural remains from the ancient Temple of al-Qasr, a religious complex.

The tranche is part of the EUR 7.4 bn EU-Egypt strategic partnership announced in March 2024.
