While the region's growth is so diverse between different countries, the authors argue that the situation is difficult for most middle-income economies in MENA, with rising prices of food worsening the crisis. Despite global uncertainty, such as the war in Ukraine and monetary fears in major global markets, the drop in growth of income growth in MENA is a certainty.
