Though Egypt is not a big market in paper production, the global trade studies estimate that the local business revenue is around USD 1.4 billion.
Egypt’s paper market is supplied 78 percent from imports and 22 percent from domestic sources. Out of over 200 companies in Egypt that work the paper industry, five percent are in pulp production like Quena and Edfu public companies.
