Egypt’s hotel pipeline: inside Africa’s largest development boom

Egypt on a hotel pipeline four times the size of any other on the continent, the government targeting 30 million tourists by 2032.

Ras El-Hekma, which occupies an area of 170.8 million square metres, is expected to attract $110 billion worth of investments by 2045.

The former Opera Garage site has been allocated to a private developer for a new hotel project in central Cairo.

Moustafa said Egypt’s real estate sector will continue evolving rapidly, making continuous innovation essential for developers.

Its pipeline includes 80 hotel projects comprising approximately 16,400 rooms, led by major international operators.
