Egypt inks $1B deal with China's Sailun Group for tire factory

China has been looking to step up its economic activity in Egypt, including in projects involving ports, green hydrogen, industry and space.

Egypt to increase recycling rate to 60 percent by 2027, a significant rise from 10 percent in 2018 to 37 percent in 2024.
