Saudi-Egypt causeway to enable 30 minute cross border travel

Plans for the crossing were revived during King Salman's visit to Egypt in April.

The rail line is planned to be 35 km long, 10 stations and transporting 270,000 passengers a day. The journey time from Giza to 6October is 38 mins.

The loan will assist in financing the rehabilitation of the tram link between the Ramsis and Almaza areas.
