Egypt, Jordan to hold talks on gas cooperation

The talks will cover joint cooperation efforts between Egypt and Jordan, ways to support integration in the gas sector.

Located in northern Jordan, the project is being built for the Jordanian Egyptian Fajr for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply Company.

The minister said the government had gradually reduced the outstanding dues over the past two years until they were fully cleared.

Current production from the North Safa field amounts to about 15,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) through five producing wells.

Egypt’s automatic pricing committee for retail fuel products is set to resume its periodic meetings during the first quarter of the new fiscal year.
