Egypt's SODIC says seeking to take over Madinet Nasr

After a brief halt in trading, SODIC shares were up around 5 percent and Madinet Nasr’s were around 10 percent higher.

Besides, Power Transmission & Distribution Business has bagged orders worth Rs 5.68 billion.

Egypt supports the Belt and Road Initiative that connects China with the world's continents through massive networks of land and sea routes.

The company said revenue for the period rose to EGP 1.47 billion from EGP 1.37 billion in 2014.

The government signed contracts with CSCEC for 12 buildings, including ministry headquarters, the cabinet and parliament headquarters.
