The Oil Ministry is eying 14 Mediterranean exploration wells in USD 1 bn+ drilling push this year

The Med push is part of a wider 101-well exploration program for 2026, with total expected drilling investment of USD 1.31 bn.

The total investment could rise to around $18 million if new discoveries are made and subsequently developed.

‏The petroleum sector has succeeded in adding approximately 12,000 bpd of crude oil and condensates to the Western Desert's production.

As part of its strategy to boost domestic oil and gas output, the Egyptian oil and gas sector has added roughly 12,000 barrels per day (bbl/d).

The 172-station network will be operated via a new vehicle — Quick Fuel for Petroleum Products Trading and Distribution.
