Siemens and its consortium partners, Orascom Construction and Elsewedy Electric, announced the completion of the Egypt Megaproject on 24 July.

Siemens signed an 8 billion-euro ($9.4 billion) deal in June 2017 to supply gas and wind power plants to Egypt.

Construction of the facility is scheduled to be complete in mid-2019, with operations expected by the end of that year.

Experts from both the countries shared ideas to promote clean fuel in the light of its increasing demand worldwide.

The energy will be sold to the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company under a 20-year contract, Engie said.
