Russia increased grain exports to Egypt and Turkey

At the same time, Egypt (846.2 thsd tonnes) and Turkey (275.6 thsd tonnes) still were the major directions of wheat exports from Russia.

According to data of the monitoring by experts of APK-Inform Agency, in September 2011 Russian export companies shipped 2.5 mln tonnes of grains. Wheat exports totaled 2.3 mln tonnes, barley - 184.8 thsd tonnes, peas, wheat bran and maize - 49.1 thsd tonnes, 10.2 thsd tonnes and 8.2 thsd tonnes, respectively.

At the same time, Egypt (846.2 thsd tonnes) and Turkey (275.6 thsd tonnes) still were the major directions of wheat exports from Russia.

The deep-sea port of Novorossiysk still continues to be the main port-sender of grains from the country, which during the reporting period shipped 1.1 mln tonnes of wheat and 95 thsd tonnes of barley, while the port of Rostov-on-Don in September shipped 416.7 thsd tonnes of wheat, 30.1 thsd tonnes of barley and 15 thsd tonnes of peas. Yeysk shipped 212.8 thsd tonnes of wheat, 9 thsd tonnes of maize and 2.8 thsd tonnes of barley.

We should note that the structure of supplies also includes transit of grain cargoes through Ukraine, which totaled 507.4 thsd tonnes in the period. In particular, the port of Rostov-on-Don shipped 399.9 thsd tonnes of transit grains (371.1 thsd tonnes of wheat, 16.9 thsd tonnes of barley and 11.9 thsd tonnes of peas).
