Agiba boosts Egypt's gas production with 4,100 barrels per day
Agiba Petroleum Company has successfully expanded its production capacity by bringing the Arcadia-28 well online, following a cutting-edge acid stimulation operation conducted on July 19, 2025.
This process, which mirrors the advanced techniques previously applied to the Iris well, leveraged the latest technologies to unlock new reserves. As a result, the well is now producing around 4,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
This achievement strengthens Agiba’s strategy to increase output and accelerate the development of its concession areas, aligning with Egypt’s broader national energy goals.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources continues to push forward with its strategy to enhance domestic petroleum production and ensure a stable energy supply. Ongoing successes across sector companies reflect the effectiveness of these national efforts.
