Market Update: Egypt major stocks slip 0.65 pct by Tuesday close

Egypt's major stocks have seen their first losses in a week, the benchmark EGX30 closing Tuesday's session down 0.65 per cent at 5,066 points.

The broader EGX70, however, managed to finish 1.74 per cent in the green, as buyers targeted lower-cap stocks.

The majority of trade was in the two units spun off from Orascom Telecom earlier this month, as well as Orascom Construction Industries.

Total market turnover was around LE863.2 million.
