Joe Kaeser joined Siemens in 1980, working in a variety of roles in the Components Group. He held various senior positions in Siemens’ semiconductor companies before becoming a member of the Group Executive Management for the Information and Communication Mobile Group.

In 2004, Kaeser became Chief Strategy Officer for Siemens. He joined the Siemens Managing Board in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer. He became President and CEO in August 2013.

Kaeser also serves on the supervisory boards of Allianz Deutschland AG and Daimler AG, and on the board of NXP Semiconductors in the Netherlands.
