Lab Supervisor at PepsiCo

1. Carry out Sampling, inspection & testing of Raw Material & Finished product in accordance with standard procedures to ensure that products are of the required quality.
2. Ensure proper Calibration of equipment.
3. Following Hold & Release procedures & completing corrective & preventive actions to prevent production of defective product.
4. Monitor & report on Weak Link results.
5. Maintain high housekeeping standards, walkways clear, benches clutter free, benches & walls clean, minimal Silver nitrate staining.
6. Maintain all required documentation (test records- reports) about all checks carried out & results in both chemical and micro labs.
7. Identify & report on any quality issues & potential improvement to product, process & environment.
8. Maintain an awareness of all developments in products & in test procedures.
9. Ensure that all policies, procedures & rules are followed by technicians.
10. Stock control of chemicals, media and glassware.
11. Completing & updating all Lab reports.
12. Proper labeling & storage of reagents.
13. Carry out Waste water analysis.
14. Bring any problems to the attention of Manager.
15. Provide advice on quality issues to Managers & staff.
16. Monitor & advise on all sanitation & hygiene procedures to ensure compliance to company standards & local authority standards

Skills

1. Good computer skills Microsoft office
2. Is capable of developing site action plans.
3. Good communication skills that enable him to conduct effective trainings
4. Engineering or Science English language is a must.
5. Technical knowledge of relevant quality standards & products.
6. Knowledge of process involved.
7. Microbiology experience is a strong plus.
8. Details oriented
9. Good interpersonal skills
